Bridgeton Apartment Guide

West of the airport at the I-70/I-270 crossroads — healthcare and logistics jobs next door, and the whole metro within reach.

Realistic rent ranges

Bridgeton runs a step above the northeast county: about $980 for a 1-bedroom, $1,276 for a 2-bedroom, and $1,818 for a 3-bedroom (July 2026, up 2.7% on the year). You’re paying for position — the I-70/I-270 junction — and somewhat newer stock. Value hunters can still find older communities near St. Charles Rock Road below these averages, but if minimum rent is the goal, Ferguson, Overland, or St. Ann beat Bridgeton on price.

Major employers within a short commute

The anchor is SSM Health DePaul Hospital — one of the region’s big hospitals, right in Bridgeton, which makes this the obvious home base for its nurses, techs, and support staff. Just west, the Earth City industrial corridor holds hundreds of distribution, logistics, and office employers; Lambert Airport and the Hazelwood corridor (including Boeing) sit immediately east. Few North County addresses put more jobs within 10 minutes.

Getting around

This is the best-connected driving location in our guides: I-70 and I-270 meet here, with I-170 and Highway 370 minutes away — downtown in ~20 minutes, St. Charles County in 10, Clayton in 20. MetroBus runs the St. Charles Rock Road and Natural Bridge corridors toward MetroLink connections; transit works for main-corridor commutes but the community is built around the car.

Schools

Bridgeton addresses are served by the Pattonville School District, consistently one of the stronger-regarded districts in north county. Confirm your exact assignment with the district.

Utilities and groceries

Ameren electric, Spire gas, Missouri American Water; renters typically cover electric and gas. Everyday shopping lines St. Charles Rock Road, with big-box retail there and more across the river in St. Charles; groceries are a 5–10 minute errand from almost any Bridgeton address.

What applications expect

More of Bridgeton’s stock is professionally managed than in the northeast county, which means conventional automated screening: firm 3×-income checks, credit thresholds, application fees $50–$75. Come with the full document packet and confirm screening standards before paying fees if your file has bruises.

Bottom line: Bridgeton is the commuter’s pick — especially for DePaul staff, Earth City warehouse workers, and anyone splitting a household between St. Louis and St. Charles counties. You’ll pay $100–$200 more than the northeast county for the location; decide if your gas savings and time cover it.
