About My Apartment St. Louis
Education first. Listings second. Built in North County, for the people who keep St. Louis running.
Finding an apartment is hard enough. Finding one on an hourly paycheck, with credit that’s still healing, or with a past eviction on your record — that’s a maze, and the big listing sites weren’t built for it. They show staged photos and say “contact us for pricing.” They don’t tell you whether you’ll qualify, what the deposit is, or what it actually costs to move in.
My Apartment St. Louis exists to answer those questions plainly. We’re a practical apartment and housing resource for working families, hourly employees, first-time renters, people rebuilding credit, and anyone looking for an affordable place to live in the St. Louis area.
What we do
We write honest guides about how renting really works in Missouri — income requirements, credit screening, evictions, deposits, tenant rights, and scams. We build free tools that do the math. We publish detailed local guides to North County communities, written for renters rather than for advertisers. And when we profile a property, we publish the whole picture: real rent, required income, deposit, fees, pet charges, assistance policy, and the true cost of moving in. If we can’t confirm a number, we say so instead of guessing.
Where we’re starting
We’re starting where we live: Florissant, Hazelwood, Ferguson, Spanish Lake, Black Jack, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Bridgeton, Overland, Maryland Heights, and St. Ann — then expanding across the St. Louis metro as the guides and directory grow.
What we believe
Transparency beats marketing. A renter who knows the real numbers makes better decisions, wastes fewer application fees, and lands in housing that lasts. Property managers benefit too: informed applicants are qualified applicants. That’s the whole model.
Questions, corrections, or a property that wants to be profiled? We want to hear it — every page of this site gets better with feedback from people who actually rent here.
